César Javier PÉREZ HURTADO

César Pérez is a PhD researcher at the Department of Hydrology and Hydraulic Engineering (HYDR) at VUB, he is also a full time professor & researcher at the Bolivian Catholic University (UCB) in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. His work explores how groundwater data can be combined with economic models to support more sustainable land and water management in Bolivia’s Chiquitano region. With a background in environmental science, he enjoys using spatial analysis and modeling tools to connect science with real-world decision-making. He’s passionate about working with local communities, farmers, and students to co-create solutions for climate and water challenges.
