Her research is conducted in collaboration with HYDRIA, responsible for wastewater collection and treatment in Brussels. She applies data analysis and machine learning to study combined sewer overflows.

Elise holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from UCLouvain (2013-2018) and a complementary Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence at the KU Leuven (2018-2019).

Before starting her PhD in November 2024, she worked in GIS support services at Esri Belux (2019-2020) and as a research assistant at UCLouvain and VUB (2020-2024). Her research focused on data-driven techniques for groundwater quality assessment and integrated urban rainwater management.
