Mayte MOLINA CAMACHO

Mayte Molina Camacho has a background in environmental and water resources engineering and joined the Department of Water and Climate at Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) in 2026 as a PhD researcher under the supervision of Prof. Ann van Griensven.

Her research focuses on linking global and regional freshwater quality modelling using the SWAT+ (Soil and Water Assessment Tool) with agricultural nutrient pollution and its impacts on river ecosystems, biodiversity, and human health.
