Tinne MAST

Tinne Mast holds a master's degree in bioscience engineering from KU Leuven (2018-2023), where she specialised in environmental technology within the department of Earth and Environmental Sciences. In 2024, Tinne completed a traineeship at the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) in Parma, where she focused on data management and analysis, expanding her expertise in research and policy-making within European institutions.

In 2025, Tinne joined the BClimate research group as a PhD researcher. This PhD project is a collaboration between VITO/EnergyVille and Vrije Universiteit Brussel, supervised by Prof. Dr. Sebastian Sterl, Prof. Dr. Wim Thiery and Dr. Ruchi Gupta. Her research is centered on modeling power system resilience to climate extremes, with a specific focus on assessing the impacts of climate extremes on power systems in African countries.
