Ali Eslami

Ali has a background in civil engineering, with an interest in urban water management and blue-green infrastructure. He completed his MSc at VUB through the SuLaMa program and began his PhD research in 2023 as part of the 100K Trees project, supervised by Prof. Nora Van Cauwenbergh and Prof. Ann van Griensven. His research focuses on developing tools to quantify the ecosystem services provided by urban trees, including flood mitigation, urban cooling, air pollution reduction, noise control, and biodiversity enhancement.
