Rosa PIETROIUSTI

Rosa Pietroiusti has a background in geography and environmental science and joined in 2022 as a PhD researcher in climate science under prof. Wim Thiery, with co-supervision from Dr. Sam Adelman (Warwick University, UK) and Dr. Annalisa Savaresi (University of Eastern Finland). Her research investigates extreme events under climate change, with a focus on how they affect children and young people, now and in the future, and the implications for intergenerational equity.

The research project is supported by the EUTOPIA inter-university alliance, between the Department of Hydrology of the VUB and the Law Department of the University of Warwick.
