Polar geoengineering are a dangerous distraction - VRT interview to Dr. Marie Cavitte

Geoengineering our way out of the climate mess we have made it not an adapted solution. In fact concepts proposed are often ⛔ maladapted.

These concepts are dangerous distractions because in the mean time, the root cause of these symptoms: the rising emissions which cause the rising temperatures resulting in the loss of ice on Earth, is not tackled.

We know we have finite financial and physical resources, and we have to choose what to put energy and capital into. And we know what to do: proven solutions, and financial capital have to be aligned to speed up the transition and get to net zero/negative as quickly as possible (in an equitable manner).

That's hope. And it is real.
