Optimizing Nature-Based Solutions: Advancing Nature-Based Solution Site Selection, Design, Monitoring, and Effectiveness Assessment

The goal of this project is to develop an integrated, science-based digital tool/platform that supports the site selection, optimized design, effectiveness assessment, and monitoring of Nature-based Solutions (NbS) at the landscape scale. The proposed innovation aims to fill existing gaps in decision-making tools by offering a comprehensive, flexible, and user-friendly service tailored for policymakers, water managers, and restoration practitioners. These tools will support the planning, implementation, and evaluation of NbS interventions to mitigate climate-related hazards such as drought, flooding, heatwaves, and water quality degradation.
