Open Water Network: sharing access and knowledge on Free and Open Software and Open Data for water resources management.

The Flemish Scientific Council (FWO) provides funding for the international coordination of the Open Water Network : sharing access and knowledge on Free and Open Software and Open Data for water resources management. Following the philosophy of Open Science, the overall scientific objective of the Open Water Network is to improve water research through an increased publication and use of Open Data and Open Software Tools and in this way improve:

1) The transparency and reproducibility of research methods and results

2) Transferability of research results and methods

3) Improved integration and inter-disciplinarily

4) More peer-review of research methods, data and research results from researchers or other stakeholders
